Serving those experience housing hardship
The CITYPAK Project is a not-for-profit philanthropic organization that works to provide custom-designed backpacks to persons experiencing homelessness or in housing transition.
Founded in 2012 by music-industry businessman and philanthropist Ron Kaplan, CITYPAK partners with international adventure travel gear manufacturer High Sierra to provide a useful, high-quality backpack for those in need.
Together with organizations serving homeless communities, refugee organizations, and institutions that provide disaster relief solutions, CITYPAK strives for dignity in homelessness, helping to ensure that those experiencing housing hardship feel supported, respected and seen.
There are numerous ways to get involved. You can join the CITYPAK network today as a Distribution Partner, a Sponsor or by simply making a donation. Learn more about how to get involved below.
For organizations and persons who want to distribute CITYPAKs to the people they serve.
Support CITYPAK and know that for every $40 we receive, a CITYPAK is donated to be distributed to someone in need.
For companies, brands and organizations that align with CITYPAK’s mission and want to help get more CITYPAKs into the hands of those in need.
Together with our valued partners we’re proud to provide a custom-designed, convenient and versatile backpack for the homeless that is uniquely designed to meet the constantly changing needs of those experiencing homelessness or who are in housing transition.
